    Hi people,

    I have a question about http://www.slashcode.com

An example of it is on http://www.slashdot.com

Anyone using it on a site?

From what I read its pretty painless to implement but I'd appreciate any thoughts...

    Thnx

theres a phplib conversion of this going around as well.. seems to be more accesible and configurable than the perl code itself.

    http://phplib.netuse.de/applications/slash/index.php3
lists a load of sites that use it..

Wonkoslice.com has an NT version with the same functionality. Should be even easier to implement.

If you're interested I'm writing a Slash-like site at the moment. It's basically a simplified version of Slash.

    Take a look at http://www.webmongers.org

By the way, it's VERY BETA smile.gif

If you'd like to take a look at the source code (Perl/MySQL), or even set it up on a site then get in touch.

If your interested in open sourced content management systems for web sites http://www.go.com
recently open sourced some very nice/interesting java Products. Well documented, overall far tidier then slashcode wink.gif Although, there is alot more work to go from their stuff to a working slashdot u like.

Still, servlets and other java goodness with a touch of xml kick perl and mysql's ass anyday wink.gif
