    Hey there,

I'm just ripping some cds onto iTunes. It's taking forever. Is there any quicker way to do it? I was doing it the other day and it didn't seem to take this long. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Should only take a few min per cd.

It may be because you are ripping them as high quality music instead of mp3 format. Although you will get better quality, it's not worth the wait IMO.

To see what ur using at the moment, press "ctrl + ," in iTunes, or open the preferences, and click on the "importing" tab. set "import using" to "mp3" and "setting" to "higher quality 192kbps".

    Hope this works!

If it doesnt get yerself a new cd drive :D

Still having problems with this. It only takes about 2 minutes to copy each song, but each time it moves onto the next track, it pauses for ages with nothing happening. Does this sound normal?

hmm definately not. Check what directory you are ripping them into. Make sure it is iTunes. Otherwise, it may just be ur cd drive that's messed up. Is it old? Also make sure that iTunes is up to date by goin to Help --> Check iTunes for updates.

    Good luck.
