why is it all so slow??

    am using a mac & broadband, but the boards website is INCREDIBLY slow. about 1 min per new page to load.

    what the hell?? any suggestions???

    Well, the site is very busy at the moment but I'm using a mac and a 56 modem and it's nowhere near that slow for me ...

    You're not using IE by any chance are you?

    I'd say so. Rendering times on the Mac OS version of IE are terrible in comparison to safari or camino (which is my own preferred browser). I'm not exactly sure why, but it stutters on certain types of page elements I think and boards is apparently full of whatever it has trouble with. Consider using one of the browsers I mention or perhaps firefox to browse boards and see if you notice any improvement.
