Problems with Mercury TV Tuner Card

    Hi there!

Got a problem with the Mercury TV Card.

1.- It works fine in Windows ME but the PC won't shut down. I have to "restart" then press power button to shut down.

2.- The problem in 1.- does not happen in Windows XP Pro but the picture lags.

So I have to have both operating systems, which is annoying because I only use ME for watching TV... Would be ideal to have only XP though. Has this happened to anyone before? Any help will be much appreciated.

    Cheers!

    Try updating your directx drivers.
Use directx 9b and get the tv tuner directx patch, search for it on the microsoft site.
    Hope that helps.

DirectX shouldn't have anything at all to do with the shutdown problem? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Try updating your drivers as some companies fail to write proper WinME drivers. Go to the website and download the latest drivers.

No, WinME, and to a lesser extent Win98, tend to have issues with shutting down properly, for all sorts of reasons. Try getting XP working, and NEVER USE WINME AGAIN. *shudders*
