I'm going to pop over to PC world in about an hour but i don't hold my hopes up anyhting i looked at tehre prices of HDD's they were overpriced and old stock, hopefully they will have something today.

If it comes to it i cna push my dvd project till next week and get a decent deal online.

I have a 200GB Maxtor DiamondMax 9 SATA HD that I can sell to ya for say €100. I live in Blanchardtown so you could pick it up on your way home later. I'll be back from work at about 6pm if that's any good to ya.

You could check out peats (parnell street, however you spell it). But bear in mind you will be paying a premium when getting it offline. Shops like komplett provide FAR better value.

True for the boxed stuff. If you're desperate for one right now though, have a look in the OEM/Upgrades section. You'll get a HD there at a *reasonable price. At the moment they seem to have knocked the prices down a bit too, was in PC World in Limerick yesterday.

Apart from that, any of the other retailers suggested above would probably have a bit better prices too.

    *reasonable for PC World anyway.

Thanks for the help guys i got a 120Gb Diamond Maxtor Plus 9 drive in maplin, I know i paid a premium for it, but its getting the job done, 6 hours of DVI footage on it already, ans still loads of space left.

Having a second harddrive really makes editing video so much quicker as the software i use doesn't lock up while im editing beacsue it has access to the C drive and my new second drive.
