this may be a stupid question but here goes: if i was to buy a s710a(unlocked) from america would it work over here? and would i just be able to use an irish sony ericsson charger with it? :confused:

hi, the S710a operates on these bands 850/1800/1900 MHZ, aimed at the North and Latin American markerts

to work properly on our networks here you need a handset that supports 900 and 1800 (i.e. the S700)

so it has to support both 1800 and 900 or will i get away with just the 1800?

our networks use both 900 and 1800, so you get no coverage in an area covered by 900.... read this thread for some background
