A moment of realisation similar to that of randals from the movie clerks.

SOmething always bugged me about the new star wars movies (apart from the obvious disapointments and minor plot problems that so many fans cry over) until recently i had a uneasy feeling with all the characters in the new star wars, i mean the acting was poor in some and jar jar is fu(king annoying but this was a uneasy feeling of sadness and i couldnt put my finger on it, i rewatched every star wars film and then the trailers to the upcoming Revenge of the sith, and it was in my viewing of return of the jedi that the problem i have had, that uneasy feeling that has bugged every character in the new films was revealed to me.

THEY ALL DIE! every character introduced and groomed over these movies will be dead before the end of the saga. Only the Droids survive. The obvious candidates are all the jedi's etc who will die in Revenge of the Sith, but thats not all, obi-one, the emperor, anakan, boba fett and yoda also all die by return of the jedi. Its a horribly depressing feeling knowing that watching the development of all these characters is almost pointless because you know they will meet the same faith as an extra on a star trek away mission. WORSE are the cool new characters introduced in the new star wars who will clearly die because they dont appear in any of the current star wars films, its not fair that some of the cool jedi introduced in clone wars (the series) are as a good as dead come the next film, this feeling is worse then that of knowing the ending of titanic.

Characters that defitnally live. C3-P0, R2 D2. Rumoured appearance of chewbacca in the next film will add him to the list. And no one cares about Jar Jar so we assume Anakan went all force choke on him first chance he got. Thats 3 characters out of so many who will survive star wars in its entirety. there must be some 3 episode clause with lucas, if they ever make 7-9 expect to see luke, han etc killed off damn quick and left only with those droids and maybe an old wookie.

    i am very bored.

Boba Fett escaped from the Scarlic (sic) pit
Also, the films are over a number of gererations so characters are bound to die
    Chewie lives across 4 films
