    Righto small problem.
copied and pasted from the tweaking and modding forum. sorry.

Just built my first pc installed windows and all was well as it was when the graphic card software and monitor software was installed.

I then tried to install a game "law and order"(the second one). Just to see it go.

then disaster struck and it crashed.

Since this point it wont load windows.

(It gets as far as the loading bar and then resets.)

I'm confused and not even a little aroused.

    can anybody help?

p.s. also it seems to be producing a small squeaking sound when it's on.

Doesn't sound good - a small squeaking sound.

Can you determine what's causing the noise - HDD, fans, graphics card - hope not!
Is the noise only coming sine the crash or was it always there?

Will it boot from a CD?

hit F8 before startup (or just after the bios), and it should bring up a menu with Safe mode and all that. I am presuming you are running on 2k/xp.
On that menu try the Last Known Good Configuration.
IF that fails boot in to safe mode and uninstall that game and the graphics card driver and reboot.
