    Hello All,

I have been a sky subscriber for a no of years now. Initially I was an analogue subscriber but made the change to digital a no of years ago.

However when I made the change to digital I never bothered to connect by Sky box to the phone line.

I would like to use some interactive services but when I connected the phone line to the back of the box I get a dial-up error.

How do connect my digibox to a phone line? Do I need to contact Sky?

    Thanks for any help.

What is the exact message you get on screen

A lot of people are having problems with the dialing codes used for the interactive services. Sky are only a (free) call away, give them a go.

Unlike ntl they care about their customers, so you'll get through to a rep almost straight away.

Try services 4----0----1 Select, then go to option 3 and make sure Dialing type is TONE and that there is no dialing prefix.

You should check that wire into the back of a phone too to make sure you get a dialtone (just in case the cable is broke somewhere). Otherwise, as Sparky said.

With a name like finnpark, you must be in the Twin Towns region! :)

    Thanks for that.

I will try this now. I was just getting some message like "Error with Dialing".

I cannot remember exact message but it was if it got the dialing tone and then collapsed due to an incorrect no or something.

    I will retry it anyway.

And Im not too far from the Twin Towns. :D
