Good luck yourself. You trying for a fourth ticket in a month in the freeroll? You greedy bastard, give some poor student a chance, will you? :):) Seriously, good luck tonight and I hope you make it to the final table...

Muso, I got there at 4:30 last month and the freeroll was well underway. Players were joining the fun up until about 5:30 (I think)

Best of luck tonight Rory. I won't be entering the big game this month, maybe next month or I may sell my ticket.

I'll be expecting a report from either yourself or ionapaul up here tomorrow :)

Hi, going in tonight to play aswell. I usually save the worst run of cards for the end of month tournament but tonight i feel optimistic. Won a ticket in a freeroll so it is a win win situation.

Had a pretty unlucky night altogether. Went in to the freeroll and ended up on the bubble. Came in 5th and almost had another 270 ticket. Then I played the 270 game and couldn't get a hand to save my life. I had decided beforehand to play semi-tight until the break. I played all the good hands i got but couldn't hit anything and then the **** hands i folded would have won.

    for example
    i get K2o in BB
    blinds are 25/50
    pot is raised to 600
    i fold
    flop comes 222!
yer man who raised it had bullets, so i would have cleaned up

    a few hands later i get 97o
pot is again raised to 1200
    i fold
    flop comes 99K
    turn comes 7!

i had about 6000 at the break mainly got through bluffing my way through a few hands

about an hour after the break i still couldn't get a hand so when it came around to me and yer man to my right raised 3000 i called all in for 4500 with pocket fours.
he laughs and turns over the other two fours!

I hung around 3000/4000 for a while and then called an all in with KQ on my big blind (blinds were 500/1000) he turned over 55. the pair stood and i was out in 35th place.

overall it was a good experience although it was still pretty **** to get such bad cards all night. I'm looking forward to next months tourney where i will hopefully have better luck

your mistake of course is believing that 97 and K2 are bad hands. amateurs.

Exactly. I nearly fell over when I saw your T5o get cracked in the STT earlier! That must've stung.
