Irish GTR server!!!

Ok fellow Irish racers ,as we speak i am getting a GTR server sorted and should be up tonight.
She is on a 100 mb line and located in Dublin so should yield sweet pings for us Irish guys and may even allow some 56 kers some GTR fun.
She is a 35 man server for now to see how it goes and shes called "Cully`s Wackey Races"
I myself cannot devote a whole lot of time to her but once setup it should look after itself.
Session times etc are not definite yet and can always be changed any time.
Im gonna advertise on RSC GTR forums also but it would be great to see some of you Irish simracers on her ,even if just to hang on to Blueshauns tailcoats

OK she wont be up tonight,me mate thats installing her left his GTR disc at home and it needs the disc for dedicated server:(
LOL it was funny as i was watching him from my comp here at home remotely as he was trying frantically to try get a no cd to work.
Hopefully tomorrow night.

Hope we get some decent racing on a local server then.

I may be busy tomorrow night, but i`ll be able to make an hour, either very early or late.

thats good news indeedy, its not an easy game to get running on a server tho, i've been there and done that with GPL, i could forgive it cause it was old but simbin should really sort out a non graphical, non cd dedicated server.

if you want a load test at any point let me know, the ukgtr guys could run a fun race on it some nite.

Mines getting a bit old now, got it back in november 2003..pic attached.

Radeon 9600@ 400/305, 3ghz p4 800fsb, 1 gb ddr 400, 60gb 7200rpm hdd.

handy for Lans though, and can still handle most things, including gtr.

Was the server up tonight? i didnt get a chance to check.

hmm, 16pins more than fits in my NF7-S V2.0

Might just get an old palomino, sell it in the BnS and build a Athlon64 system

OK lads just an update.
Looks like i cannot get a server up and running.
Basically it was a mate who was getting it all sorted but has run into major problems.
Unfortuntely im sorry to say this server wont be going live anytime soon.
Real sorry guys
