Activating sub SKY card

    Hi all, Looking for a little help. Have been trying to do a manual swith on with Sky for the last few days. There's a problem in that Sky are sayin that the EPG version needs to be updated to switch the card on over the air. We've done two manual software updates on the (panasonic) box but it hasn't updated. Sky are saying the box is faulty however it's working perfectly otherwise (with freesat card). My question is this . I have another Pace sky box with the correct epg software (3.2.11 i think). If i call SKY saying that the card is in the panasonic box and give them the versions and serial number of the panasonic box but actually have the card in the Pace box will this work to switch it on correcly (matched to the Panasonic) ? nayone ? Tony ?

    That wont work. The SKY locks itself to the box so it wont work. Have you tried a forced update.

    Yeah, tried a forced software update (3 times!!) to no avail ... all the system details remain the same after the updates.. you reckon it may be a fault with the box ? Any suggetsion as to where i could get it repaired cheap ?
