    Hello,

I've have several questions that I hope you can answer me:
(I really don't remember the exact name of the cards)
    1. There is an equipment which can be transferred to another creature by investing 2 blue mana instead of its normal 1 colorless. What is the point in spending more on the transfer? is it done as an instant perhaps?

    2. There are three equipments titles: Shield of Kaldera, Sword of Kaldera and Helm of Kaldera. One of those can create a colorless 4/4 creature. Is it an artifact creature? or a plain colorless creature.
One of those artifacts state that if I have all three artifacts, I can create a creature with all those equipments attached on it. Can it be done as an instant anytime I want to? or is it possible only as a sorcery?

    3. We here are a bit confused about the instants order. I understand that I cannot use the Icy Manipulator to stop a creature from attacking unless I use it prior to the attack phase, right?
Suppose an elf can give me mana and I tap it for mana. Can a lightning bolt kill the elf and prevent me from getting the mana? or do I still get the mana although the elf is considered 'dead'?
If the lightning is cast prior to me tapping the elf, can I still tap it for mana, get the mana and then the elf is killed?

As you can see, we here (about 7 players) are a bit confused.

    Your help is most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Gil Kehat

    1. Yes, attaching can be used like an instant, equipping like a sorcery

    2. You can create the token like an instant

    3. I think you get the mana

    1) yes, the point of the extra mana cost is so you can use the Neurok Stealthsuit for nifty combat tricks at instant speed

    2) yes, you can pay 1 colourless anytime you could play an instant, so you can activate it numerous times, but bear in mind that the token is legendary so if you make 2 of them they will both be destroyed

    3) yeah, tapping the elf will put its ability on the stack. if an opponent responds by killing it, the kill effect is put on top of the mana source on the stack. the kill effect resolves and the elf is put into the graveyard, then the mana effect resolves and you get the mana. the elf doesnt have to be in play to get the mana, all you have to do is get the ability on the stack.
If the opponent uses the kill spell first, you can respond by tapping the elf for mana, hence there is no way the kill spell is going to stop you getting mana.

as for the icy manipulator, all you have to do is make sure you tap it before they declare an attack, so that can be either in their upkeep step, their precombat main phase or the beginning of combat phase. once they have it tapped to attack, theres nothing you can do
