This is the officially endorsed Gran Turismo 4 wheel. It's more expensive than the momo wheel, and looks to be very good quality. It works on both PS2 and PC using the USB interface. Does anyone know if it's actually as good as (or better than) the Logitech momo wheel which has for so long been the standard against which other wheels are compared?

You'd expect that if it's by the same manufacturer, and they price it about 50% more than the momo, that it should be well built and designed, and not just the regular mark-up on new products or cashing in on console sales? I haven't seen anywhere yet that compares the two wheels or that reviews it as a PC wheel.

I'd mostly be playing PC sims, so i don't want to compromise my PC driving experience, but i also dabble with Gran Turismo, so it'd be nice if i only had to buy one wheel that performed adequately for both.

I found a user review here which says "both design and quality wise the Force Pro is a better wheel the Logitech's top PC wheel, the MOMO Racing."

    So that's nice to know.

Anyone else have any impressions? I'll probably get this once i scrounge some money together.

    quote from reviewer in link
Since everybody knows by now that it's the best wheel available today

Seeing this reviewer state this is funny tbh.

Logi are great wheels alright ,i use the Logi wingman formula force GP wheel and find it excellent but for real serious gear check these manufacturers out, pure specialists.

It might be a great wheel, but as far as I can tell, it is NOT available in Ireland.

So, maybe the question should be what is the best wheel for GT4 available here in Ireland?

    I live in Dallas :)

And remember, it's not a wheel for GT4. It's a wheel for PC sims, which will just happen to play GT4 from time to time.

look for a reconditioned one of these

this is to use the slang, where its at.

Amazon in the US had some reconditioned ones last month, they come and go.

Its all beautifully ballraced, and there is no play, unlike the cheap sucessors which came out trying to trade of its good name.

    I got mine in play.com
Ordered Monday, arrived Thursday. Free shipping to Ireland!
Just make sure ther is someone there to collect it when it is delivered.
Also, purchase using the sterling currency. Cost €126 compared to the €135 using Euros.
