Elder Looking for Musicians

I am a singer/piano player seeking a Drummer, bassist(If you can play upright then that would be an amazing bonus) and guitarist(whos into swelling/atmospheric sounds), to play original Dark Pop/Rock.

I am in the middle of recording at the moment, so I would be very interested in working with these musicians in the studio.

I am Looking for people that can bring a hear/feel vibe to the music and to interpret it using their own style and sound.

I have been playing support to bands such as Juno Falls, Marshal Stars, and Gavin Glass and I am ready to play headlining gigs.

I want to buzz off other like minded musicians on stage(and off) and to Build that energy that can only go so far when playing solo.

I listen to so many different styles from Beck to Tom Waits, and I
am Listening to more quirky musicians at the moment such as Sujan Stevans and Joanna Newsom.

if you are interested in getting together contact me at: Elder_Roche@hotmail.com

    Talk to you soon.

    Elder

I don't know any of the bands you mentioned there, so could you give a more varied description of "swelling/atmospheric sounds". Also, what age bracket are we talking here (i'm 18 myself).

The kind of music i'd like to play would be similar to mogwai, tracer AMC. Not sure if thats what you're looking at though. I probably wouldn't be good enough (only playing 2.5 years now). But i might be interested in giving it a shot anyway.

EDIT: Forgot to say i was a guitarist :p

    Hi Elder.

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=196904&highlight=brazilian

I'm brazilian and was looking for some musicians as well. I got lots of influences, mainly jazz/ambience (Nils Petters Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltof) , progressive/art (King Crimsom, Van Der Graff) rock and rock-in-oposition (Universe Zero, Cartoon, Art Zoyd) and all the classic stuffs from jazz to rock and classical, bla bla bla...

What kind of work have you in mind? Composition or cover? Gigs or recording?

    Hey How's it goin,

Sounds very interesting as I would very much like to bring a jazz influence to the music and i think it allows alot of room for open interpretation.

I am interested in getting a band out on the live gig road ASAP, however I do believe that working in the recording studio lets the creative juices flow alot easier and allows people to see the direction of the music more clearly.

E-mail me directly at Eler_Roche@hotmail.com and we can organise to hook up.

    Cheers,
