Squid is a http proxy, don't see how it would proxy your quake3 packets, unless you mean r00ting the box and changing a ruleset or installing another proxy in which case, I wouldn't know anything about that smile.gif

Dont think it can be done and still remain playable - IE: there will be a delay even if it worked

Heres a snippet from the Squid webbie..
The CONNECT method is a way to tunnel any kind of connection through an HTTP proxy. The proxy doesn't understand or interpret the contents. It just passes bytes back and forth between the client and server. For the gory details on tunnelling and the CONNECT method, please see RFC 2817 and Tunneling TCP based protocols through Web proxy servers (expired).

http://squid.nlanr.net/Doc/FAQ/FAQ-1.html#ss1.12Again, it is more than possible - but indeed a pain in the ring to get done and remain playable

There is a program called http tunnel, that will emulate a socks proxy. You run it, it wraps ur socks packets in http, sends them through ur http proxy to a server the program writers maintain on the other side where it is decoded and sent on it's way. Tis grand for napster and general file download, but i would imagine that the latency will be bolochs.

Gav

just search google for it.
