mouse acceleration in winnt

    anyone know how to disable mouse acceleration in winnt 4.0(sp6) for the current user?
    control panel/mouse is disabled, probably using poledit by the administrator..

    You could try running the CPL file via RUNDLL32? (information on the tech board). Or have a rummage around NTFAQ I recall maybe seeing something on bypassing POL for CPL files. Can't remember where. Sorry.

    can you give me an example please, suppose i want to display mouse properties,
    rundll32.exe mouse.cpl doesnt work
    am i missing some flags here?
    (im testing this in win98)

    i knew the format for using rundll32 already, it doesnt answer the question.. how to run cpl files with rundll (i dont think it can be done)

    control.exe mouse.cpl works, but its just like clicking the mouse properties in control panel.. it doesnt bypass poledit

    Sam if you get this working please email me and tell me what you did. I've just put up with mouse acceleration in college. They changed the admin password. ****s!

    haha, yeah except eamo will probably stand behind you for 2 hours every day if he reckons you play games (is he still there??)

    that control.exe thing didnt work, im here now..


    i think the information is stored in c:\winnt\profiles\username\ntuser.dat
