Is there a way to manually override or proxy-out through a system running Novell Border Manager?

I'm blocked while searching for info on websites through a Border Manager pop-up window. There has to be a work-around, perhaps through proxying the client browser or by using a thin browser (something other than Navigator or Explorer).

    ideas appreciated.

Can you download to the c:\ drive on this pc??
Usually if you can't look for a file called gv32 (i think) and delete it...
the get the policy editor from our friends at www.microsoft.com (it's called poledit.exe)
download it and run it, self extracting zip...
when u have it extracted run poledit and remove all restrictions or any restrictions you want by simply unticking the boxes...
This may be a bit extreme but if your sysadmin is like ours and never checks the pc's you'll be grande.. even if he does check well it was like that when you got there... also if they keep a record of your downloads it's usually kept on the network drive.. ours is kept in a folder called apps, not sure if this is default.. browse that folder then do an advanced find and search for all files containing text of your screen name... when u find em edit em.. usually you can only do this on the date that u download something as it changes the date that the text file was edited...

anyway hope this may provide some sort of help
