Mother board alarm ic7-max3

    I put together my own pc a few months ago, i have an ic7-max3 mother board, but when i play games sometimes an alarm goes off, and when i quit the game the alarm stops, can i get software to monitor what alarm is goin off? i suspect its the cpu over heating but thats only a guess, any ideas

    Do you have some kind of motherboard monitoring software running in the background? Sometimes these can get installed with drivers. The CPU overheat settings on this program could be set a bit too low so are giving you false overheat warnings. Disable this software then you should be ok.

    If it's not this then give us more information, pc specs... motherboard type etc etc etc. We cant help properly without information like this.

    Maybe if you could run some utility to monitor the CPU/system temps (eg. MBM) while the alarm goes off then check out its results it may offer an explanation.

    Or it could be the fan problem mentioned by Redshift!
