Saltwater Fly Fishing

The plan this summer is to try fly fishing for mackrel, pollock and bass. I have an old rod that should take an 8 line and an old leeda rimfly real which i'm not to fussed about if it rusts. The only area i'm about uncertain about is the line. I'm not going to fork out 30-40 euro for a specialist saltwater line as i might only use it 4-5 times over the summer! Thinking of getting a "mill end" line for 4 stg from a UK dealer.

Has anyone any experience of these lines?
Also for saltwater fly fishing which is best flaoting, sinking or intermediate?

    thks.

Have a look on E-bay for some great deals on lines.
