Im trying to sort out a problem with my friends computer...think I have it narrowed down to the 350W Q-tec PSU (wont make that mistake again)

However to test my theory I want to try my own 230W PSU in my friends computer.

Does the 230W PSU have enough power for:

    Mobo,
    AMD XP 2500,
    256 MB PC3200 DDR,
    Hard Drive,
    Cd Drive,
    X DREAM II Cpu Cooler,
    Floppy.

Will I cause damage if I try to run the above rig of a 230W PSU. Even if only to test the computer?

Thanks in advance for the help.

It'd probably be just about enough. I'm running a 1800Xp, 1hd, geforce3, 1 DVD reader and 1 stick of ram + a few pci cards on a 200 watter, and it works perfectly. But if i stick in a 9600pro, its not enough power.

For testing, you could use it, but for longterm usage, get a proper PSU 350 watt would be plenty for that kinda system. But if you want to future proof, get something bigger.

Cheers, dont want to future proof it or anything its only used for office apllications e.t.c

It doesnt have any PCI cards or AGP, the mobo is an all in one job.

    I'll test it anyway.
