    Just got a mail from adsense saying they dont allow gambling-related sites to host adsense (my website is www.poker.ie), so it looks like I will have to do it another way. Can anyone advise me on how to go about getting advertisers, how to know the value of my space etc.
    Cheers!

    You could try tradedoubler, commission junction, those type of affiliate advertisers. Most of them are free to join anyway and you could see which have the most appropriate ads to serve.

    Has anyone ever tried to get big commercial companies, like o2/vodafone/Guinness etc on their site? How would you go about that? Cuz thats probly where you'd get the best value for your space?

    A few of our customers are actually with salesonline.ie as Michele said, they can be pretty selective however of who they take on.

    Might be an idea to have a bit of a pitch together before you call them, stats speak louder than words.

    If your webhost is half decent they should be able to give you advice on getting a company on board as they probally have dealt with this sort of thing before.

    I find CJ.com excellent, and get a big enough monthly fee on time from them each month, other people have complained however about late payments.

    Best of luck.

    Have a look at http://www.adbrite.com/. You could also approach relevant companies directly. But yep, if you're doing gambling or porn (the USians seem to consider the former much worse than the latter; they may be right) your options are SEVERELY reduced.

    Hmm, what do they pay?

    As far as I was aware salesonline took 15%, I could be wrong. I am also not sure if they charge the same rate across the board.

    Great domain, considering how popular poker is becoming. You could try;

    http://www.fastclick.com/
