Just home from a tournie where I got a brain fcuk when we were down to 14 with top 4 getting paid..

SB posts small blind 800
BB posts big blind 1,600
UTG folds
UTG+1 raises to 10K (from a stack of about 40K) at this point both SB and BB walk away from the table
UTG+2 folds
Idiot looks down and sees 99.. (last to act, stack of 9K) thinks for an age and finally decides to call

UTG+1 turns over AA and out I go..


In part I was influenced by the fact that I knew nobody else was going to call and the fact that he had called a 15K bet preflop about 10 hands earlier with 88 but it was still a brainfcuk of a decision..

maybe it was delayed tilt, lost earlier in the night when QQ was beaten by 44 after 2 players had called a 10*bb raise preflop with 68o and 44!!

Ak was beaten by K7s when it hit a flush

AQ beaten by KQ when a K came on the river...

ahh enough I'm too pi$$ed off to think about it anymore

I don't see much wrong with this, you have less than 6 times the BB, you know you have only the UTG+1 player to deal with since the blinds have gone walkabout, you just have to hope you're up against AK or 77 or something.
