    So, the question is this.

If you are normally a friday night drinker, will you be partaking of a few alcoholic beverages on Good Friday?

Or are you going to abstain?

I think nowadays in Ireland, the question is who WON'T be drinking.

I'll certainly be having a drink. I see no reason not too tbh.

he'd be able to get around the ban by turning water into wine.

If you were allowed to drink then there wouldnt be half as many people drinking tomorrow. Its just the fact people are told not to do it that that they drink. If someone says to you, dont think about sex, what do you think about? Your not suppose to eat meat either, lol. Bet Maccy D's will still be open

Just to show that some won't be - I'll be keeping off meat and drink on Good Friday. The latest results in the poll on this have 5% off beer, 6.5% off drink and 14% off both.

Catholic/Christian holidays make no difference to me, and it's about bloody time they made no difference to the law. I'll be drinking four cans of Guinness tonight.

    And some Hennessy.

I've booked myself into the cinema for the night! 2 in a row, and would have done 3 movies if I didn't have to get up so bloody early in the morning... But staying off the drink, and managed to remember not to eat meat too!

Yes, there are. However, a reasonable chunk of those don't care about catholocism per se
