    Hi,

I have a 1965 Morris Minor Van in fairly good condition For Sale, the engine has been upgraded to a 1375 cc (I think) with a 5 speed gearbox.

This van needs some work done, but not as much as might be expected for a van of it's age, it has new tyres all round and is NCT exempt, road tax about €40.00 PA and insurance around €250.00.

I don't have the time or the skill it deserves to bring it up to a van for everyday use.

This is no heap of junk, some work is needed but all can be easily seen, a bonus is a donor van for the nuisance spares.

    Guide price is €4,700.00

No tyre kickers please it can be viewed in all it's sins they way they should be viewed.

    Email or (01) 825 1098

Moderators please note, if this is against the rules please delete it or tell me to.

    Some pix would be nice.

    Mike.

That must be a very adjustable guide price surely - my 1975 Daimler 4.2 LWB cost 5,000 euros just to put it in context.

    Hi,

Thank you all for the feedback, I will take a few photos of the good and the bad points I believe in being fair to everyone who shows an interest.

    Hi Alfa.......

These are a rare find in a condition that makes them worth restoring or maintaining, while I would love a Daimler, I seem to be stuck in the 60's :) and would prefer the Mk11 Jag or it's Daimler equal of the day.

In context I would not write up a 75 Daimler and expect to get business out of it, the old vans are great for advertising, some might argue why '75 and not '85 ?

The '85 could possibly be bought cheaper but you and I know the classic and vintage have an addiction built in :) unfortunatly I don't have the skills to go with my addiction.

    Kind regards,

    Peter.

    Hi,

One set of photos, the pictures show a shine, while the van is not shiny, it needs a polishing at the least and preferably a respray.

The wheel arches are not as good as they look, the near side is bubbling, while the off side was damaged also the paint above the damaged arch looks like a poor attempt to paint it was made.

    Hi,

    More Photos,

The floor has water on it must be a leak but it is solid, the van did not start but that was to be expected because it hasn't been started in over a year.

The mechanic will be down this week to make sure it is running properly, all the tyres are new and the wheels were sand blasted and painted with two coats of hammerite smooth.

I was going to have the wheels plastic coated but I reckon it could be a nighmare if they get chipped.

I would not rule out keeping the van if I could find a competant person to do the work needed because the chassis is solid, the only serious rust is on the cills and I have the replacement panels.

    Regards,

    Peter.
