Probably the most stupid question to appear here, so I apologise in advance.

I have recently acquired a Apple iBook G4 1.2Ghz - was wondering whether games can be played on it?

PC games are just for "PC's" arent' they?

So what games play on the mac?

I've played Quake 1, 2 and 3 and Warcraft 3 on mine. They all run very well.

If you look at the box of the game in the shop you'll see PC-CD on the cover. Some of them will have PC/MAC or similar, and a few will only say it in the system requirements section. It'll have two lots of reqs, one for windows and one for macs.

    tons more info on www.apple.com/games

    Thanks SouperComputer,

So just to be clear - does every game (PC CD) work on a mac?

I have a game called "sum of all fears" for the PC - but it doesn't mention Mac on it - can it work?
Why I ask is that I don't want to buy games and then they don't work?

    Help?

    Hi Maxwell,

Typically if it does not mention Mac or have the Mac Logo on the box/cover then you can not expect it to work. PC CD are for Windows OS computers.

    Some other sites are :

    http://www.insidemacgames.com

Best of luck with the iBook and welcome to the Mac community!
