WSOP Sats: Who's giving it a go?

Just wondering how many players on the site are investing in attempting to qualify for the WSOP main event this year. A chap on my other site got in last week through a PS sat. He got the 10K ticket, 1K spending money plus 9 days accomodation as long as he agress to wear the PS gear. I didn't make any attempts last year, but I came close with a 3rd in a large sat on Paradise 2 years back (and got no overflow after 8 hours of play!). I played just the 1 low buy in sat this year on Absolute poker and went deep again but only managed 13th. I'm hoping to set aside some of my BR to make a run at the sats on PS. There's so many ways to qualify. I think the best way is to play the sats to the €650 supersat. Anyone one else have any thoughts on qualifying?

I am going to give it a go...on PokerStars and Paddy Power.

Which sats are you going to play? I've actually seen some 1000FPP sats with fields of less than 100. Can't remember what level that takes you up to though. The double shootout sats look interesting. Maybe we should get everyone giving it a go on the site to blitz one sat and increase the chances of someone from the site qualifying. I'm actually playing a free sat on Full Tilt on Saturday after earning enough FT points. Will be a total lottery. Should be fun.

The 1000 FPP sats on stars give 1 seat. so = no. of entrants :1 chance. You can quailify for as little as 100 FPP's in sub qaulifiers.
The Double shootouts are great value - 2 STT wins and you get a seat, 2-8th and you get your money back. This is how I got to WPT in Bahamas. Already failed in one for WSOP though.
The best value is Betfair. $150 Freezeout. 6 seats Gauranteed. Plus you get all travel and accomadation plus $2000 spending money. I finished 7th recently - it still hurts!
Ultimate bet has $100 Freezeouts, only $1000 towards travel though.
VC has $198 rebuys - probably the worst value although Pokertroll will disagree as he got in through one of these.
    Party Poker's start soon.

Best of luck to all. A boards raiding party to Vegas sounds like fun !

When is the WSOP on? I wouldn't want it to clash with anything else

Early June, IIRC. I am going to try my damnest to garner a ticket in the meantime from Party, Poker Stars and maybe Paddy Power.

A boards assault on Vegas would possibly be the greatest thing ever.

Edit: Oops, I didn't recall correctly!

I'm a mission to qualify this year. Good luck to everyone else.
