Anyone know of any good guitar shops in Belfast? I believe I shall take a trip in that direction and cast my eye over some new gear.

There's a few Northern music shops in teh Dublin yellow pages but I have never dealt with any of them
    e.g.
    matchettsmusic.com
    belfastmusic.com
    marcusmusicbelfast.com
    etc

It probably depends if you're looking for a Protestant or a Catholic guitar :D

matchetts is probably your man - they have two shops on the one street - one for acoustics and one for electrics etc..

Ahh much has changed in the fair city of Belfast in recent times. The Belfast Guitar Emporium is far and away the best guitar etc stuff shop in Belfast. Their staff are much friendlier and helpful than some of the staff in Matchetts. They have lots and lots of vintage stuff, a dedicated acoustic soudproofed rooms and rakes and rakes of really really good gear.

That said matchetts do have weekly deals on some or which are very good i.e. this week they have Variaxe's for 399 sterling down from 699.

In fairness though the all music shops arent to far apart when ure dandering around the town so you can go to them all. :)

FYI Soho Soundhouse (Tottenham Court area London) (recommended by Felya's buddy) have the Variax 300 for STG 339.99
