I've just after buying an new microsoft mouse (intellimouse explorer 1.1SE if you must know) and the problem is that the cord was bundled up and held together by an elastic band.

when i unraveled the cord there is all these bends and twists in it and they keep catching on the end of my table, resulting in drag which you know isn't the best for FPS players out there.

does anyone know anything tips or tricks on how to straighten out the cord?

i must say this is an odd request

Leave it hanging by the cord overnight

bend the parts that are bent the opposite direction but not too hard as to damage the cord, then as Ciaran500 said leave it hanging for a while, try overnight.

I am not responsible for any problems if you follow this advice! :)

Give it a while aswell they'll eventually unbend with a little bit of tension on the cord.

i thought the newer wireless mice had no noticeable lag in FPS games. Feel free to correct me with proof to the contrary :P
