My only experience with Chorus is that their reception is utter crap. I'm an NTL subscriber now and never have any problems. I know in some areas you don't have a choice as to who you subscribe to. It's a monopoly.

Wow, 7.52 is pittance, if you left an eircom bill overdue, they would disconnect you and charge you 50 or so reconnection fee.
Which would you prefer? You let a bill go 45 days overdue... sorry man, no sympathy.

when u think of it 7 euro isnt to bad as an admin fee. u shopuld pay by direct debit. dont worry bout it too much. 250 does sound pricey for basic cable. mayb u should get a sky box and dish and get a freeview card and skip sky 1, then it wil be only 20 euro a year roughly

The title of the post breaks the rules of this site in that it potentially libels Chorus, so I'm changing the title of this thread.

Also in fairness to Chorus (and without justiying their late fee), if you don't pay a bill for a service you've signed up for, they're within their rights to persue you for the money you owe them...

Let me just tell you, if you were on ntl, they would cut you off and charge your €50 re-connection PLUS FULL payment of your bill AND penalties. With sky, if you sign up within the first 12 months and don't pay the bill, they charge you €380 immediately and to re-connect you must pay your outstanding debts and possibly an administration fee.

€7.50 isn't that much - would you rather they take you to court?
