    The Munsters
    Quantum Leap
    The Herb Garden

I've been searching high and low in my efforts to get "cyclone Tracey" on DVD, it seems to be only availible on VHS :(

dont be too surprised if you see part-works coming out with some of those programmes on DVD, how successful is the prisoner partwork?

I'd love to see Tiswas out on DVD. I spent many a morning watching adults being locked in a cage and be doused with buckets of water when I was a kid.

Series two is already out on region 1 with series three due in May.
    Beware of music edits!

also - don't bother trying to buy QL in Ireland. The retailers (bar Tower who got 2 copies in before Christmas) are refusing to stock it for some reason.

I presume you mean the original 1950s/early 1960s Rod Serling series.
Definitive region 1 sets are out. Two seasons so far. With three more to follow by the end of 2006. Avoid the previous other box sets.

But the 1980s version was best. First season box came out on region 1 last December. Second season is due tomorrow with the final one later this year.

that sucks, ah well, like i said before, play.com or senit.com, but beware of the conversion rate between euro and sterling, as far as i know they have a set rate as opposed to the one you might find on an up to date currency converter like xe.com

    3 Words...

    The Wonder Years

True classic! There wasn't one episode that disappointed!

But at 115 episodes... it'd be quite a large boxset!

read somewhere that this may never be released
due to the exhorbitant cost of the music rights for DVD release.

plus the music was intergral so if it was substituted/changed the programme would suffer

Well, apparently Fox are making progess on a DVD release.

    Read here!
The new edition (2/25/2005) of Entertainment Weekly magazine has a story about The Wonder Years, in their semi-regular feature about television shows that ought to be on DVD, but aren't yet.

TVShowsOnDVD doesn't usually cover topics mentioned in their column, because it normally involves some wishful thinking rather than any actual plans. And much of the time any "plans" mentioned are something along the lines of "the studio is mulling a release of this item in the coming year" (nothing set in stone, in other words). But this time the word is a bit different.

This issue of Entertainment Weekly quotes Fox Home Entertainment's Senior Vice President of Marketing & Communications, Mr. Steve Feldstein, as saying "We've got it on the schedule, but there are hurdles to clear prior to a firm release date."
I really hope to see it in the near future!

Saw Quantum Leap season 1 in Other Realms in cork last week when I picked up Buck Rogers in the 25th century.

And one for the list "Doctor Snuggles" beats the trippy out of moomin any day

The Moomins is out on DVD but it is pretty expensive. There is also a new version of the series so don't get confused. Apparetnly the DVD shows episodes ITV never showed.
Anyway if you buy a series on DVD how often do you really watch it? A few of the series mentioned are on TV at the moment on satelite. Not the same I know but still.
