    Sometimes I see it, Sometimes I don’t

    Hmmm, ho hum
    You’re lost, you know that?
    I think sometimes you do.
    Purple bags under bloodshot eyes,
That goofy grin, we’ve gone gonzo.
    Again.
    Got to get out,
    Get our head some peace.

You know what would be nice?
    To make something beautiful
    And have it heard.
To have it played and spark a smile,
    A drift, a giggle
(Then we could drink and be happy)

    I think in threes,
    I wonder why.
    It’s always been that way,
I remember noticing that once, long ago.
I also thought I’d do something,
    Hmmmph, maybe I will,
    Can’t commit now though.
    (****** ********)

You know I always wanted to be… someone.
    I don’t anymore.
    Maybe I’ve seen the light
    (High five to the Lord!)
Or maybe I’m bored and bleeding.

    Born again, those poor bastards,
    Redemption comes at a cost.
They didn’t tell you? You didn’t know?
    You’ll get clean,
But it’ll cost you your soul.
    Cardboard scratching, the corrugated kind,
    Dusty, slightly damp,
    And done.
    Utterly done.
Maybe you’ve lived too much and had to die.

The soul of man is in his child.

    cheers,
    Ray

hee hee, now that made me smile, are those stars meant to be just stars or were they bold words?? my favourite bit is "bored and bleeding" its right on, i've always thought about that, what it would be like to have the life drain out of you and mostly i think it'd be the boredom that would do you in, all that sitting around, waiting to have no strength left to fight, jesus, that'd drive anyone over the edge..
hmm, what else, was that a touch of christian bashing down the bottom there?? they're pretty pushy and pretentious alright but nowhere near in the same league as scientoligists, but remember they do pray for our souls which is quite considerate of them.. ;)
anywho tis a good piece of work, made me smile and made me think, two out of two if you ask me!! keep on truckin' *",*

they dont pray for our souls

"for our souls and the souls of the FAITHFULLY departed"

never quite got that one myself, nah, i've nothing against christians though, only fundamentalists and bigots, from any religion

the stars were put there by me, originally they had two words, one a curse, but i thought it would work better, (and save me embarassment!) by taking them out and putting in stars

    cheers though
    Ray
