Which headset for Skype?

I've started using Skype, its brilliant, but I've got a crappy headset and want to get a nice USB one so I don't have to mess about at the back of the PC swapping cables etc. I've been looking at these two on Komplett: Logitech Stereo and Logitech Premium Stereo but I was wondering if anyone has any better suggestions... Is it worth paying the extra €10 for the Premium wiht the volume control on it?

    Thanks.

For just under €50 (incl P&P) I got Plantronics Gamecom Pro1 USB headset on eBay.
I posted somewhere on Boards more details sometime in the last two months ;)

Inline volume control - YES, and preferably with a mute button.

Also, do those two headsets you listed use your existing soundcard or do they have their own built-in dsp?
If they have their own dsp, then it can be a pain switching devices from headset to soundcard etc unless you like using the headset all the time.

Does anyone know if you can use a Bluetooth headset (say, a Nokia one) with a Bluetooth enabled PC and Skype?

Yes. It is just a matter of pairing the device with the machine and it should allow you hear all audio out through the headset as well use the microphone.

You can get a BT USB key for around 20-25 euros.

Hmm. I've no idea, I hope not, I want it to be as simple as possible, just plug in the headset and it will cut the feed to your speakers and switch to the headset. Anyone know which headsets do this?

I'm not much of a gamer... I do listen to music a lot but I have proper Sennheiser headphones for that...

Maplins stock the "Skype" phone which is a USB telephone. I think they are trying to flog them off at "buy one get one free" type of effort at the moment

I emailed komplett and they reponded (in a matter of hours) saying that it doesn;t have dsp so it will be plug and play and should do exactly what I want it to do. I ordered it so I'll let you know how it goes.
