hey, I'm starting work but have to get my tax sorted out.
Is there any specific info needed to be put down on the p12 form?
Once I give it in to the tax office how long should it be before I get a copy of my tax credits? I don't want to be on emergency tax for long...
This work will last for 5 months, and then I'm back to college in Sep, so will I be able to claim back the tax?

But does anyone have any knowledge as to how long it takes to process the form and the tax credits due?

Typically your employer should have their copy of your tax credits within two weeks of you requesting them from the Revenue. The emergency tax will be relatively low for the first couple of weeks anyway as it starts low and then increases over the course of six week or so.
