Hello all,

I am in the UNIX business since 1988 and love Linux. I would like to start a North East Linux User Group, but would need to see if there is any interest in this endeavour first before I invest financially.

The main aims of this group would be to help people who are interested in Linux, and also to promote the use of Linux in small business that could make significant savings and also raise the profile of the best Operating System in the World, "Linux".

Primarily Meath, Cavan, Louth areas.

I would be all for the promotion of Linux in the Louth area. However, I'd like to hear a bit more about the purpose and remit of this group before putting my name to it.
