    Hi all,

Im in my final year of a degree course in software programming and there is an option to do the cisco INTRO and ICND courses as an extra qualification.

Has anyone done this? is it worthwhile course? what are the employment opportunities after succesfully completing the course?

    thanks in advance for info.

Getting the CCNA is nice to have.. but if you don't re-sit it, or don't sit another cisco exam within a couple of years then you lose the qualification.
Cisco qualifications look good on the CV, but it's the other skills you have as well which make the difference.
It can't hurt, but you can always self teach down the line if you really want to.

It's useful if you want to get into the systems admin area. As far as I remember it only last for three years before you have to recertify. Definitely useful to have, doing any of the four CCNP exams will automatically recerify the CCNA for another three years as well.
