Just a quick comment on the NFL so far, I know in the grand scheem of things the NFL isnt all that important but its a good measure of how teams might preform in the Championship in the summer.

Kerry are looking damm good arent they ? Playing a powerful brand of football and the took westmeath apart at the weekend with no problems.
Speaking of which.. loosing can become a habit, if their not careful they wont make it past the first round ... laois have to be the best team in leinster at the moment...Dublin, havent done anything to amazing, but in my opinion there are signs of improvement, they played well against Kerry and beat westmeath and Donegal well.

Galway are not preforming as well as they should but then they were firce unlucky against Laois. Armagh and Tyrone are trucking along but still dont look as good as kerry. Kildare and carlow are improving and Mayo still look fairly sharp.

If things keep going like this Leinster will be the place to be for the football this summer with the Dubs, Kildare, Laois, Wexford, westmeath, Meath and even carlow .. But meath and Carlow should be brushed aside.

IMo Kerry are the best team in the land with a group of Laois, tyrone, Armagh and Mayo following behind... just off the mark are the Dubs, galway, cork, westmeath, Derry and maybe a couple of others like Fermanagh.... Rossies, Limerick, donegal and Co. have a long way to go

    Opinions ?

I have to admit that I'm surprised at Mayo's form in the league given the fact that it would have been hard to get themselves up after such a bad beating last September and also because the Ballina boys haven't really been available to date. Great result yesterday especially as McDonald was out injured. The 2 games that will tell all though in 1A will be the ones between Tyrone v Kerry and Mayo v Kerry. As you said Alany, Kerry are the ones to beat. Those 2 games should decide who'll advance.

It could be a very interesting championship this year which will provide much competition in Leinster. Kerry have Munster sewn up and it's hard to look beyond Tyrone or Armagh in Ulster. I'm more optimistic now about Mayo's chances in Connaught and beyond although Galway will always be strong.

It can be hard to judge teams in the league, though most years the All Ireland winners come from one of the teams that make the knockout stages of the league.

Galway have clearly no interest in the league, they threw their games against Armagh (who were very understrength) and Limerick. Also hard to judge the teams in the conference, but it can be no harm at all to the likes of Meath, Cavan, Derry to go on a winning run. You'd have to be worried for teams like the Rossies though, who are getting regular beatings down there.

I think you underrate Donegal. They beat Kerry last week and were unlucky enough to lose to the Dubs, and they're missing a number of their top players including Devenney and Sweeney.

As for Leinster each of Dublin, Laois, Kildare, Westmeath, Offaly, Meath and Wexford have a genuine chance of winning out. If Laois are the best of them, its only marginal. I dont think any of them will win Sam, though if Derry and Fermanagh can make All Ireland semi-finals, anyone can.
