3.5 mm plug on and 3.5mm plug on one single jack

    i got a set of savage headphones recenlty which are pulled in and out of mp3 players, md players, hi-fi's and computers every minute
    i need some kind of a sacrificial lamb to go between the audio source and the headphone otherwise the jack on the headphones will wear down really quickly any ideas
    plz give links

    well, you could get yourself a 3.5mm to 1/4 inch adaptor, plug your headphones into that, and then use a 1/4 inch to 3.5mm adaptor on the end of that. This would mean using 2 adaptors though, which would be a little bulky but would certainly keep your 3.5mm plug on headphones from wearing down.

    A small 3.5mm extension cord should be fine, you'll get one in Peats or Maplin's or something for a euro or so. DO the jacks wear down, tho? Never seen it happen...

    I'd say he means the surround where the wire goes into the plug, i had id come loose on 1 or 2 headphones before
    I got a short wire with a 3.5mm female to 3.5mm male stereo jack with my mp3 player which i think would work for you. As mentioned before peats or maplins would have them.

    no im talking bout the actual jack its wor down loads time s before on me
