    are netsource upping speed/caps with all the new esat packages etc?

    Anyone know?

    I don't think anyone knows yet. And I think one of the more important people involved in that decision was off on holiers :)

    So we should hear this week.

    I emailed netsource sales during the week and the response I got was
    The upgrades will take place in April in line with the Eircom upgrades.
    The provisional date we have for the change is the 4th of April.

    They also said that my account
    ...should be upgraded to a 2048K/128K Upload speed.

    thats good news....but such a pity about the measly upload speed

    Assuming whatever package you have is a re-sold version of one of the upgraded Eircom wholesale ones then you should get a speed increase. As for cap increases - no. The Eircom change does nothing to lessen the cost per Gb of your usage to Netsource, it just allows them to provide more bandwidth to you via the Exchange for the same price.
