why was my bet that smithers would be revealed as gay void?

    Checked my paddy power acocunt and found 20 euro in it.
    Looked at bet history and found that a 20 euro bet I made that smithers would be revealed as gay in the simpsons was voided.
    Does anyone know why this is?
    Only other bet I made in the last year was 10 euro on greece each way in european cup. Won 750 euro from that.
    So, for the more impressionable, younger readers: gambling is good.

    august last year I think.
    I remember reading online that it would be patty the same day. It had either been leaked or there was a summary of the episodes already published stating this.
    Perhaps they voided all bets for this reason.
    Or maybe someone made a stink that smithers was gay too or something like that.

    your best bet would prolly be to send an email to paddy power tbh. i hear hes a nice guy when it comes to this sorta thing

    the bet was "who would be revealed to be gay in this particular episode" and it was already known that smithers had homosexual tendencies already,

    I wont spoil it with details for people who haven't seen it, but it was patty and paddypower have paid out on my bet with them :)

    It was already spoiled by the writers. This is the proverbial worst. episode. ever. No lies.
    Incidentally, we now know Comic Book Guy's real name. Or at least we would if it was worth remembering, which evidently it wasn't.

    years ago in the who shot mr. burns episode, bookies lost a few quid when they still took bets over here despite the show being aired in the us! :)

    probably just voided all bets to be on the safe side when a leak was rumoured.
