Deleting protected file

A few months ago I tried to load some phone connectivity software onto my computer but it appears to be incompatible with my computer.

But now every time I start my computer it tries to install the software onto my computer & always fails. This is incredibly annoying and incontinent as I can do little else while it is trying to install.

I think that I have identified the files that are the problem but I cannot delete them as they are protected files, dose anyone know how I can delete these files or at least stop them from trying to install each time I start the computer?

    Start>run>msconfig

Under the start up tab will be everything thats trying to start on your computer. Identify the problem one and uncheck it. Don't be afraid to turn them off, worst that will happen is some piece of software will stop working. You can just turn them on after if that happens.
