Just read up on them first, you don't want to get a crappy one

redsupper: he asked for advice, and you told him to "read up on them"??

OP: If you will be modding your case (neon lights and extra fans, etc.) you will want a 450Watt+ Power supply. If not, the 350W should do just fine. I was building a syatem for the family, and I just used the cheapest case off komplett. Unless you want a transparent side or built-in memory card slots, I'd advise you to go for the basic case and power supply

was thinking of goin for something like this

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=303823&cks=PLC
    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=117902&cks=PRL

but i want it pretty quite and a good p/s ive heard some are bad..

anyways is around 100 euro enough for a big (quite) case with good power supply?

if anyone else has any input/ones they have bought ill check on the thread tomo..

    thanks

Stay clear of Q-tec like you'd stay clear of the plague.

I'd prefer this one http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=301416&cks=PRL to the one you have up.

Whoops! q-TEC! i knew i was forgetting something. They are so bad, i've had a couple fail on me over the years. Anything but Q-tec. E100 will get you a fine case.

Redsupper: You have told him to "read up on them" twice now. Are you just trying to bulk your post count?

from reading other posts on cases there ye most ppl are dishing the qtec..

ppl seem to like the rep of antec

anyway its basically for this upgrade so want to gettin something thats fits well and maybe room for further expansion in the future..

You never stated your budget or what the components of your pc will be so we don't know your power rquirements. I would get at least a good psu unit like the following though.

Cases are a personal choice. Go for what you like.

    These are good though

    super lanboy
    Thermaltake Tsunami
    coolermaster centurion

I had a PSU die on me recently, it took my motherboard with it, nasty, priority should be quality over price/wattage IMO.

Can't believe nobody has suggested the Antec Sonata . Comes with 380W PSU and is a sweet case. I've built 5 pc's since Xmas with this case and everyone is well impressed with it. €119 plus €10 shipping

no-one suggested it cos its butt ugly, if you can get the black thermaltake tsunami, that'd be the one i'd go for

Just noticed thats an Onboard Bundle which means an onboard VGa(not so good for games) Are you planning and sticking something else in with it or what?

Give us a budget and that will help loads

Jaysus smart ass - ok you have a socket 754 aging so go Socket 939

    Mobo -Abit AV8, K8T800 PRO : 109 euro
    CPU - 3200+ Winnie : 190 euro
RAM -TwinMOS PC3200 : 119 euro (Outta Stock at the mo)
    Case -Chieftec Dragon Black+360w : 92 euro
Total : 510 (All from Komplett)

Check your RAM spec and see if you can get a matching 512 and then you save a little cash for something else
