    Hi ,
    Just as a matter of interest, how do all you self builders dispose of any trees that are on your site, prior to building,

    Do you burn them, sell them , or chop them for firewood .

    Chopping for firewood would be a good option if you were able to store them in a woodpile, woodshed for a year or 2 to allow them to dry out as best as you could
    In my own case we are leaving the trees that are behid the house for shelter (htere are no other trees)

    I think you would be better identifying the trees first before chopping for firewood. I ask the question because a lot of trees that are removed , do end up as firewood. Whereas other more cost productive uses would be turning, furniture making. Lots of people do not realise that they are burning a valuable commodity.
