That means more rabbits and guinea pigs...

If anyone would like a care sheet on either animal please contact me guineapigrescue123@eircom.net

Anyone buying or adopting a rabbit please have them spayed/neutered and try to keep them in pairs once this is done (contact for tips on introductions).
Remember to have your rabbit vaccinated against myxomatosis (even if kept indoors) and VHD (not on the same day..give about a week between them) and keep an eye out for fleas/lice etc.

It's a good time of year to worm your rabbit (also do this a few days after a jab) talk to a good small animal vet about correct dosage for your rabbits weight etc.

Check over rabbits or guinea pigs nails to see if they need a trim. Also check over your guinea pigs skin to make sure there are no signs of fungal infections or parasites.

If your rabbit is outdoors secure their run with the strongest wire possible, ideally 1/2 or 1/4 inch holes in the wire to prevent mice. Wire on the bottom is very important for rabbits or guinea pigs runs, give them places to hide and rest their feet from the wire. Secure warm shelter also.
