    Hi,
I am currently building a new house. I was think of running the speaker wire for a surround sound system now, before the wall are plastered so that they would be concealed. my question is what sort of wire should I used to get the best sound

You can get speeker cable from any electrical wholesaler.
The cable must be stranded, many fine strands for high frequency response.
