    Hi,

I've read alot about good Gi's on different threads but I want to ask which Gi do people find best to train in for jujitsu. Im not sure of the best weight to get:

    single/double/absolute ???

I have found the heavy ones too warm in the summer. What do you guys find best to train in ? Is thicker better ?

    Any advice welcomed ....

    Ah Conor!

Yeah Id go with the single weave. I have Blitz gold judo pants myself and theyre really heavy and really tough. I have a hayashi gi top which i use now and then and its pretty ok. Go with the single weave!

    Check out Atama - http://www.atamakimonos.com

Really high quality. I'd go for the gold weave. You could also try the summer gi's - They are real light.

    Hi dranoc,
I recently purchase a HCK bjj, double weave gi, but I'd have to say , its just to big and heavy , maybe the single or gold weave which is much more lighter. be cautious of the size you purchase , I'm 70kg max 5'7. size to puchase A2 , but the gi feels a lot looser than it should be , its nearly impossible to get choked out with the double weave gi , but I dont feel very mobile in it.
Two days ago I purchased a Atama single bjj , its a perfect A2 fit , and the collar if very thick , ( not as thick as the HCK ) but still I feel safe. the fit is thight and I find its hard for my opponent to get a good grip on the sleeve. as well as that, the pants if a perfect fit as well , not too long or too short and I can move with comfort. Between the two, ATAMA is my choice. But I am comparing the double to the single , HCK's single might be perfect for you !!, maybe someone can comment on the HCK single. One of my guys has one , I could ask him to post here for you , if noone else replies
