My team doesn't really work as a first/second XI as some players play more than one position for me.

But my team is basically the squad Arsenal have in real life now, only:

    Minus:
    Bergkamp
    Cole
    Edu
    Lauren
    Ljungberg

    Plus:
    Akinfeev
    Colombo
    Favazza
    Chivu
    Evra
    Kompany
    Adams
    Guarin
    Mascherano
    Whitaker
    Cavenaghi
    Robinho

Waiting on a work permit for Lucio... undecided whether I need him though.

    [managing ManU]

I play an attacking 4-5-1 system that really works for me. I basically have cover for every position and rotate the players every game. That way they are fresh. Its easy to do by just setting up different squads in the squad selector thingammy.
                         Cudicini

        G.Neville Ferdinand L.King Heinze

    C.Ronaldo Scholes Alonso Rooney Duff

                        Nistlerooy

                       Howard

        O'Shea Silvestre Brown M.Taylor

    SWP Tevez R.Keane Essien Giggs

                      Smith

Other players i have to plug gaps:
    P.Neville
    Jagielka
    Adu
    Solskjaer
A.Shearer (old but still good for goals)
    Downing
    Bierofka
    Pique

Just starting my third season. Its my first game in FM (yeah i know im slow :)) so i havent experimented with bringing in young/unknown players. Won nearly every game and every competition i have been in. The formation has a rigid back 4 that dont venture over the halfway line, a central DM that breaks up play, two attacking midfielders (one free, the other not), and two pacy wingers that run to the byline and cross to the target man. Have an average of just under 3 goals scored per game and under half a goal conceded per game.

Ok, now I got it! :)

    First XI:
    Akinfeev

    Lahm Campbell Chivu Evra

                    Xabi Alonso
               Vieira Mascherano

        Pires Reyes
                      Henry

    Second XI:
    Lehmann

    Toure Senderos Kompany Clichy

                       Flamini
               Fabregas Guarin

      Robinho Tevez
                    Cavenaghi

Extra players (who still get a fair amount of pitch time):

Eboue (probably should have him in 1 of the 11s, he started 40 games last season and was top class)
    Van Persie (ditto)
    Ryan Smith

Then there's the murky pit of my reserves with the likes of Cygan... ;)

Yeah its really hard to keep everyone happy especially attacking players.

Bonera is pritty good, had him for a while before a part exchange for Naldo.

Chelsea just lodged a £50Million bid for Fabregas!

I have borrowed my mates game as hes bored of it 4 the mo and have played it for bout 48 hours. Im in season 3 with Arsenal and also manager of England.

    My 1st XI

    Casillas

    J.Zanetti J.Terry J.Andrade A.Cole

    Joaquin Juninho P.Vieira D.Stankovic
    (From Lyon)
    F.Torres T.Henry

    My 2nd XI

    Cech

    Eboue W.Samuel S.Campbell R. Carlos

    F. Ljungberg F.Fabregas V.Kompany C.Ronaldo

    C.Tevez J.Reyes

Other players who sometimes make it if injuries.

    Robinho
    Ronaldinho
    G. Clichy
    F. Adu
    F. Guarin
    Anthony Vanden Borre
    Leohbang Mokoena

Some of these are too young at moment. I'm waiting for these to become good. The ones in bold are the best players to buy because they do become brilliant

My reserve team have won their league all three years.

Last Year i won the treble and this year i won the quad.

I also got England to win World Cup.

    Genoa 05/06
    .................. Lastuvka

    Cafu ....... Thiago ..... Sottil ....... Tosto

    Gasbarroni ... Guarin ... Montenegro ... Delgado

    ........... Estoyanoff ... Larsson

    Bench: Scarpi, Stellini, Sannibale, Carrerras,
Budel, Lazetic, Van Persie, Guerk, Stellone.

Not exactly a squad of Galacticos, Lastuvka is my only big signing in that 11 (4m), and Van Persie is on the bench (3.9m), the rest cost less than 1m.

Delgado is the absolute dogs bollocks, I can't recommend him enough. Currently 2nd (probably 4th when Milan & Juve win their games in hand), one third of the way through my first season after being promoted from Serie B.

I have had the game since the day it came out and I'm only in my third season of my first game :p I can't say I really have a second 11, I'm struggling enough with my first 11! Here is my Middlesbrough team anyway:
    M. Schwarzer

    F. Queudrue	E. Ehigou	M. Upson	M. Cassetti

    S. Downing	F.Vargas	M. van Bommel	Simao

    		M.Baros M. Lopez

    My replacements include:
    J. Lescott
    C. Riggott
    J. Veron
    A. Voronin (got 32 league goals last season)

And a few more average players really.

Serbian - playing Quedrue and Downing on the right? Morrison didnt make it for you then? In my game he's turned out quite well actually.

Sorry, Downing and Queudrue are on the left and Simao and Cassetti are on the right. I just put them on the wrong side when I was mapping out the formation. Morrison is pretty useless, I just spend most of my time sending him out on loan and hoping someone will pick him up for his incredibly inflated price tag! :p
