Warpcon 2006

In response to the grumblings about a lack of advertising for this years previous Warpcon passed, I am happy to announce that the con is happening again next year.

Will post up dates and email addy's and the like when the dust has settled on the new committee formation. I can confirm it'll be in January as usual and that most likely it'll be on the last weekend of said month, but I won't confirm that until the hall has been booked. Call me paranoid

Yeah I nearly missed it because I had the dates wrong. Warpcon it the best con in the country though.

Yes! Almost the entirity of the Galway delegation was gutted last year by this...

Alright guys!

Hall has been booked, we're just waiting on the official confirmation, but it's a given really

Warpcon 2006 aka Warpcon XVI will be on the final weekend in January the 27th, 28th and 29th

Usual location, ie the old bar, with possibly something small going on in the student centre to occupy people until the bar opens....

Consider yourself informed!

Website will be updated at some point www.warpcon.com (we only elected the new director on tuesday so give us time to get a committee together...)

Sticky this pls, and I'll post up regular updates about Warpcon, I might do up a Warpcon mailing list for updates on the con if people are interested.

I used to love going to Warpcon. They used to let me tell a joke every year, just before the Charity Auction. Ah, yes. Those were the days. Small boys, jumpers for goalposts, etc. One day, I intend to develop another joke, and when that happens (don't tie me down, though), I will make my triumphant return! Behold the crap pun-meister that is ... !
