hf amateur radio help please.

hello:sorry if i am posting in the wrong section?.but i am trying to get in to amateur radio,looking to buy a good used hf rig will also be trying to obtain a license.

would really appreciate any help people can give me on this and also is there any hf users on here?.thanks

You need to complete a test to get an amatuer license
there hasn't been a test for a year so best to register ASAP 'cos if you miss the next one there might be a very long wait ( if you are north of the boarder then very different) As you probably know you no longer need to pass morse exam to get on HF down here.
