The first time i heard this term 'NFL' was just after the superbowl when everyone was talking about football. and i was watching an ad on RTE2 and i thought OMG thats the first time RTE came up with a good idea.

Show the season after the superbowl (coz as a fan i still know they wouldnt get the viwers if they ran during the actual season), and also get away with not paying for superbowl (sky and UTV aired it). I know people each year go 'that was good god i'd like to watch a season' ... but then by October its out of their minds until the hype with superbowl!

So naturally i got excited again until i saw that same ad about 15 mins later showing Gaelic Football ripping off the NFL! I was shocked before then i always thought of the GAA as a classy organization, but obviously not... it's just plain cheesy!

Then afterwards i saw they want people to call hurling NHL!!! What the hell is going on ... are they trying to piss people off!!!

BTW i realised how unclassy when i saw what the managers wear ... hell in basketball ireland the manager wears a suit or a (as with the lions) a jacket with the teams logo on it), but in the GAA they wear something similar to what builders wear for safety!!!!

I have contacted the real NFL through email and they have contacted me saying that they will be looking into it!!!! Things will change soon!!!

I *think* you just recently made the connection that the GAA acronym and the American Football acronym are the same and you...

    ha...ffs.

    locked.

/me looks at medication: idiot. no more for me.

I just wanted to open this thread so I could also say HA HA FFS.

and I would also like to point out to the "Limerick Man" in Ireland the National football League is Gaelic football. now for 50 points can anyone think of a three letter acronym for the national football league ????

LOL, WTF, FFS, NFL, SOS, IRU, IFA ??
